HEY GIRL, WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHAVE SOMEONE'S HEAD?

We were at CostCo a few weeks ago and this is what went on while we were checking out. Kristin had been waiting in line when a gentle man walked up to her and said, " Aren't you the girl of the year?" , she said yes and he walked away. When we met up, she told me about it and said that he was one of the managers there and we thought nothing more about it. A short while later he approached us at the register. Ironically, we were about to donate a dollar to the Renown Children's Fund drive that they were having and asked,"Would you like to shave someone's head?" Now I could tell right away that this totally caught Kristin off guard! I spoke up for her and said,"Sure, but how do you know Kristin?" He mentioned that he had seen her story on KUTV 2. (thank you Neda) A bet had been made that if they raised over a thousand dollars in one day, a fellow employee with longer hair would shave. Now, this young man had great looking hair. When he realized that they had earned well over the amount, he knew he his locks were doomed. Everyone was scrambling to set the stage in the front of the store. He was obviously anxious about shaving and began to insist on using a number 4 blade only and that he did not want to be bald. I leaned over to him pointed to Kristin and whispered, "If she can walk around bald, so can you.." He looked at Kristin and she pulled her wig back and smiled! He immediately said," Wow, she's gorgeous, you are right." He stopped his fussing and submitted to "the shave." Up until that point he did not realize why were standing there with a razor purring in her hand. So, in front of the whole store, on very busy day, Kristin shaved this young man's head.

the moral of the story....continue to LIVE HAPPY even when you are bald.

Kristin... I talked a bit with your Mom the other day which reminded me how much I miss your family in the Galena Ward. She had given me your blog sight earlier and I have been reading your blog. I am so impressed with your "kourage". Courage needed in your situation when you have more days than not when your not feeling well. What a wonderful supportive family you have.

A few years ago when Jayci Taylor was so sick, I was her Seminary teacher. She also was very courageous. The Lord poured out his love upon her and she is now well and able to serve her mission. I know that the Lord loves you in the same way and will bless you to get well and he will also love and support your family.

Keep up the tough works for they will bring about the good works when you are well....
