Finally!

So, we have had trouble with the internet at our home...again and I have not had access to be able to update everyone.

We would like to thank Paul and Stacey with Capital Title for their generous donation of time to help fund raise for Kristin. Their generosity was very much appreciated and the money earned is already put to good use towards the mountain of co-pays and deductibles that we have.

Kristin continues to be so brave. We have had many of bouts of vomiting and have been trying to deal with the issues of becoming dehydrated and losing so much weight. She would say in frustration how much she just wanted to enjoy a meal without tasting it on the way back up. In trying to figure out how to help her, I was impressed to try hypnosis. We found a highly recommended doctor here in Reno;William Danton, who has worked with chemo patients. Let me say, I am a believer. After our session, she said she wanted to go to get a bagel. We did and she loved every bite. She has enjoyed every meal since. From my observations ,I think that Kristin had conditioned herself to vomit in the evenings and then things got out of control. Almost as if her stomach would spasm at the slightest thought. I am so grateful that she has found some relief.

We had a nice visit from the young women in our ward who put together a basket with gifts that they each felt would cheer Kristin up. It was great!

On Saturday night she was able to go out with some friends. This is the best medicine!

Our trip to Oakland went well and was uneventful. We were able to have a private room this time and this helps tremendously. Her counts have all been good relating to the cancer and the meds have been successful in killing the leukemia cells. Yea!

The Keaton Raphael foundation sent us to a salon here in Reno called Bellisima. They do a great deal of charity work for cancer patients and fitted Kristin with a great wig that she loves. It looks like a Victoria Secret hair style, long, flowing and almost her same hair color. She looks gorgeous.

Thank you for all your prayers and please keep them coming!

All our love,
The Katichs
